This week’s reading covers 2 chapters, 3 & 4. Chapter 3 looks at Jesus in the world, especially paying attention to his compassion (and what that meant/means), Chapter 4 discusses the “alternative wisdom” Jesus taught.
- CH3: From those who read the first half of this chapter, there was a lot of interest in delving into “purity culture,” so please spend a little extra time with that section and be prepared to discuss.
- CH4: Pick one “bullet point” from this chapter to share with the group – a sentence or phrase that interests, provokes, calls to you or stands out
