Study Prompts

In the introduction to Part IV of My Neighbor’s Faith, the editors point out that the authors “all confront troubling elements in their religious traditions” (p. 125) Looking at your own spiritual/religious journey and/or chosen spiritual path:

  1. Was there a “troubling element” that caused you to shift away from one religion or type of worship to another? Were there any “belongings” you had to unpack, to move forward?
  2. Is there currently a “troubling element” in your religion or path that you feel needs to be addressed? How might you (personally) contribute to changing it?
