Social Justice Book Studies

These book studies are designed to help us explore ways to embrace and enact social justice in our lives – to aid in creating a roadmap that encompasses our values and beliefs, our faith and personal journeys, and how we each choose to live in the world; to gain insights into how to better understand, walk beside and support our siblings and neighbors in the world who are disadvantaged, oppressed, treated as less-than, or not given equal and just opportunities to thrive.

According to the Pachamama Alliance, “By the mid-20th century, social justice had expanded from being primarily concerned with economics to include other spheres of social life to include the environment, race, gender, and other causes and manifestations of inequality.”

While the books follow a Christian theme and are viewed through a Celtic Contemplative lens, all are welcome – regardless of religious belief, spiritual practice or background, or a lack thereof. Come as you are, from wherever you are on your journey, and join us!
